With a completed bathroom, Garett and Mallory were able to move in to their new home. No functioning kitchen yet - but that's what a BBQ is for!
Owen and I made a new front door (to replace the thin antique one). We lucked out and found an antique etched glass panel that has a Battenburg lace design. The glass company sandwiched it between two pieces of tempered glass so that it is fully implemented.

We spent the better part of a day sectioning some of the rough Doug Fir rafters that were removed (some still remain in the house), pulling nails and running pieces through the planner. We're using this for the face frame wood for the cabinets in the hallway and eventually for the kitchen, and new Doug Fir (straight grain) for the doors.
Mallory has been painting the cabinets in the master bathroom, so they should be rady to install next week! Garett got the new…

The paint is on the walls, the hardwood floor is down (but not sanded), cabinets for the master bath have been built (and are being painted), the heater is connected and working, the transoms over the doors are in! And the bathtub has been plumbed.
Garett's friend, Stephen, will help lay the tile in the bathrooms and laundry rooms. He is also going to help with the granite as friend Kevin broke his leg in Mexico last week.
One downside - the water is coming…

Garett's buddy Paul brought over his mini-back hoe and dug the sewer line. A huge help in this tough clay soil.
